Grilled Garlicky Bread Sticks with Marinara Dipping Sauce

I had some extra pizza dough leftover after Friday night’s pizza party. It took five days of staring at it annoyingly every time I opened the fridge before I found the motivation to do something with it. Now I won’t be bothered with leftover pizza dough until Saturday morning when the cycle begins again.

Although my family enjoyed these, I could use some fresh creative ideas. What do you do with leftover pizza dough?

Ingredients
Pizza dough, enough to cover a pizza pan
Olive oil
Couple Tablespoons freshly grated parmesan
Couple Tablespoons dried parmesan
Dried parsley flakes
Garlic powder
Salt & freshly crack pepper
Warmed marinara sauce for dipping (I used jarred Lucini sauce)

Instructions
1. Turn the grill to medium high.

2. Thinly roll out the pizza dough and place on a pan. Brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with fresh parmesan, dried parmesan, dried parsley flakes, garlic powder, salt and freshly cracked pepper.

3. Place the pan on the grill and cook until golden. About 6 to 9 minutes.

4. Cut the bread into strips and serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

I would probably make garlicky bread sticks too with my left over dough!

Garlic bread sounds so good right now.

Mmmmm garlicky bread on pizza dough. Love it, I usually smother it in mounds of garlic and a little cheese on top. Heaven on a plate.

with our left over pizza dough, we make mini calzones that have affectionately been named "pockets". we fill them with anything we have around, ham and cheese, sausage onions and peppers, even ranch dressing and veggies, then we bake them up and freeze them. they are easy to take out and warm up for a quick snack or lunch.

This is a fantastic idea. You could also work on a sweet version using cinnamon sugar and nuts.

I like that idea Mary. Dessert bread!

This is what I'd make with leftover pizza dough! Sounds great to me, especially with the marinara dipping sauce.

Usually I make thick focaccia: roll out the dough, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with ground black pepper and coarse salt and sometimes dried herbs, slivers of garlic or I press half cherry tomatoes or olives in the dough. Everyone loves it!
