I love it. Your writing is great and you definitely have the culinary chops. It takes a great cook to take lowbrow ingredients and give them a touch of culinary magic, but without pretense or being patronizing. You succeeded in giving these humble ingredients some elegance and Wow-factor.

Man, on man... 2 months of searching for that cheese sauce (or at least something similar) in at least 20 Austin grocery stores, and no dice! My craving for this dish just keeps getting worse and worse!

I finally found "Juanitas Mexican Gourmet Nacho Cheese Sauce" that I will try out this weekend... fingers crossed it turns out just as delicious as you would expect. :)

For your comfort and mine, I Googled Rachel Ray and found what you’re talking about. You're right, there is an idea that is similar, but if you look the recipes are very different.
